Swimming and warming up wit dada.
Thinking of starting up the blog again now that they have an app to post from your phone. Dinner at Indique!
We were very lucky to enjoy our house in Chateaugay for an entire month after Izabel was born. The time seemed to have flown by but after looking at the photos, we did do quite a lot while we were there. Of course, most of it was hanging with the family at our house and their houses. Boy, it was fun... ![]() One of the best parts of the month was that Izabel's cousin Maria was there. Maria is 8 days her junior and they had a blast together. Ok, honestly, they sort of noticed each other. Hey, they are babies, what do you want? But we know they will be best of friends growing up together. We are so grateful!
This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. Our Halloween tradition is to go to the parade at Macomb Park so we kept with it despite the day being changed and dressing the kids up twice. Things are a bit harder and take a lot more time with two kids these days. Still fun though! Lily wanted to be a witch this year even though Mommy had bigger plans for the family. I guess it really IS about the kids after all. Here are all the photos here: http://picasaweb.google.com/mwbowers/October2010Halloween?authkey=Gv1sRgCMPG9_Lf4cDEUQ&feat=directlink
Izabel Christine Bowers 10/11/10 - 8:32pm. 8 lbs 3 oz. 19 and a half inches. We arrived at Sibley Hospital at 7 AM. After a longggg day Izzy (Belle, if you are asking Lily), arrived at 8:32 pm. The good news for mom, only about three minutes of pushing with 6 pushes! She got here later in the day than expected but still in time to have a wonderful first visit from Grandpa G (Roger), GlaMa (Mary), and Uncle Drake <I will post pics soon>. Stacey had not eaten since 5AM and we would have been out of luck for food (as the cafeteria was closed) if Carolyn and Adrian had not dropped off delicious Wegman's subs earlier in the day. ![]() On Izzy's first full day we got a visit from her Big Sister Lily and Grandma. Lily was amazing with Belle (Izzy). She was excited to see her and was very gentle with her. See the video below of Izzy's first kiss from her Big Sis. When Lily was leaving she asked if she could take Belle with her. Totally cute. Carolyn and Fred stopped by for a visit as well. Click here for some more pics of Lily and Grandma's visit.
And for comparison, click here for the blog post from Lily's first day: ![]() We had a fantastic trip up north for two weeks, and with a lot of help we got the new house all set for Izzy (aka, Belle or Izabel) in November. Many good times with the Burke family. New video tour of the house:

I want to go vacation!" So we went. I did not take nearly as many pictures as we usually do so I apologize that missed almost everyone that was there! Oh well, we have one group shot. It was really the Lily and Carley show the whole week. As Lily said every night when she went to bed...I miss Carley. Carley was her "best friend" all week and it was too much to see them hang. Thanks to Barbara and Skip for the week! ![]() Yes! One group photo! ![]() Daddy doing his exercises with a few joiners.... ![]() Skipping rocks! The Griswold kids are goooooood. ![]() Lily actually took her clothes off and got into the lake which provided much amusement to the rest of us. Hey, that counts as a bath right? Right. ![]() This was pretty much the scene all week. Once I took Lily's hand and she said...ok, you can take Carley's spot I guess. So easily replaced! And Papa and Grandma Judy came on Papa's birthday! Although Mommy forgot, Lily made up for it with her song.... Paragraph. We are all ready for summer and the parties have begun. Lily really loves people and although we may roll our eyes and shake our heads, we are so proud of her people skills. Often times she needs to be reminded to say thank you and please and complements to her may be ignored, but other than that we are fairly pleased. Here are some photos of the past few weeks...... ![]() First stop, Maureen and Matt's for a BBQ with friends. Here is one with her buddies Jake and Sadie and new friend Cormack. ![]() 4th of July at Grandma and Grandpas! It is such a great view and we are glad this tradition started. Although last year Lily seemed to think the fireworks were AMAZING, this year she seemed to think they were good. Probably because animation has made her think that the fireworks can create images of dragons, etc., right Otto? ![]() The Birthday Party Day! We had two birthday's back to back, Jake and Jack. (I knew I could make that rhyme somehow.) Lily went to wish her friend Jack Hills a Happy Birthday at the Playseum. The Hills had brought us there once before and we think the place is so great. So much stuff to do and the Hills made it super fun! Her first stop was obviously to get her nails did! What color? Glitter yellow of course. Duh! ![]() Next stop: Making cupcakes! ![]() On our way to the next party, Lily asked.."Will there be beds at this party?", with her eyes barely open. In 10 or so years we will be really nervous about this question but at right now it makes us laugh. She somehow rallied and probably because the Edelsteins throw a mean birthday party! This is the "catch the balloon of your friends" game, or some other catchy name I don't know. Although it seemed the older kids got the concept, the littler ones still had fun. ![]() Waiting for the cake..... ![]() The cake that incorporated the Surfer Astronauts theme. More pictures from the past few weeks... http://picasaweb.google.com/mwbowers/2010July#
WARNING: You will get 10 little Indians stuck in your head for an undetermined amount of time.7/5/2010 Lily had been doing this montage for about 20 minutes until I decided to get the camera. She gets a bit bored by the end but I think the montage gives you an idea of her performance. |
